The Inaugural Beth Jacob Visual Arts Soirée (in person)

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

The artists will each show case their work. Then you’ll have a chance to mingle with the artists, admire their sculptures, paintings, rugs, pottery, illustrated books, mobiles and much more. You’ll have a chance to ask questions, schmooze, snack on hors d’oeuvres, and sip on liquid refreshments. It’ll be a visual feast and FUN!

Who? Artists Janet Starr, Janet Van Fleet, Loring Starr, Eve Jacobs-Carnahan, Ruth Coppersmit, David Klein, Deb Sigel, Fran Levine, Lauren Abramowitz, Deborah Abramowitz, Joyce Kahn, and Nancy Gore. 

Three notes: 

1) This event grew out of the March Arts Marathon, and our observation that we had so many synagogue members involved. Wouldn’t it be fun for us all to have a chance to see all the great visual art work?  So all these soirée participants are either artists who participated in the marathon, or sponsors or founding donors.   

However, of course many other BJ members are artists as well. And other BJ artists have been involved in the marathon too. Our hope and plan is that this will be the first of at least two soirées showcasing Beth Jacob artists.  Please email  Nicky, (nicolamorris@mac.com) if you’d like to be one of the artists featured in the next soirée and we’ll start planning soon!   

2) Beth Jacob can’t sell or serve wine to people at programs.  However, we can share wine that we bring ourselves to the event.  So please feel free to bring a bottle of wine to share if you’d like to.  Of course we’ll also have plentiful non-alcoholic liquid refreshments. 

3) We’ll be happy to accept donations to support everything we do at Beth Jacob, including programs like these!   We’ll have a hat or box or something for your donating pleasure!
