JOB DESCRIPTION: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (PART-TIME)
OVERVIEW: Congregation Beth El’s (CBE) Executive Director serves as the professional the day-to day organizational management and coordination for the Rabbi, Board of Directors and Congregation. The Executive Director plays a critical role in supporting the Board and Rabbi to achieve both the spiritual and financial health of CBE and the approximately 50 families it serves.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate is a skilled, organized manager with the ability to effectively manage the complex operations of the Congregation.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Understanding of Jewish values, customs and holiday practices preferred - Synagogue management and fundraising experience preferred
- Demonstrated administrative skills in financial management, budgeting, recordkeeping, payroll and review of annual budgets and ongoing reports.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills to relate effectively with clergy, staff, lay leadership, volunteers, and members of the congregation
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS-Office, website and database management, and social media platforms
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary is in the $30,000-$35,000 range commensurate with experience.

JCOGS Family and Youth Education Coordinator

The Family and Youth Education Coordinator is a part-time (approx. 25 hours) Jewish professional with responsibility for the planning, teaching, and administration of JCOGS children’s education programs, as well as family holiday programs. The position begins late Spring, early summer 2025.
