Fighting Anti-Semitism

These past few weeks have been challenging times for Jews worldwide. Sadly, the rising tide of anti-semitism is evident seemingly  everywhere, including here in Vermont.

Incidents at the University of Vermont, primarily on-line, have had a traumatic impact on many Jewish college students. Similarly troubling conditions impact Jewish students at other colleges in Vermont and nationwide. A Danzinger cartoon in the Rutland Herald was equally disturbing.

Jewish Communities of Vermont aims to work proactively to address anti-semitism and has been engaged in responding to these most recent incidents. We are working with Jewish leaders throughout the state to coordinate our efforts to seek effective and meaningful ways to address this unfortunately disturbing issue.

JCVT needs your support to sustain the important work of addressing anti-semitism while also continuing our core program of promoting a positive and uplifting sense of Jewish life in Vermont.

Please take a minute to go to our donation page or send a check to JCVT, POB 4472, Burlington, Vt. 05406.

If you’re feeling powerless in the face of these attacks and are in a position to contribute to support our work, you can make a difference in fighting anti-semitism and enlivening the Vermont Jewish Community.

Thank you so much for your support!
